Qatari Photographer Moudhi Hamad Al Hajri

Qatari Photographer Moudhi Hamad Al Hajri has won the Arab Woman Awards 2013 in the category of Art. This prestigious award has recognized the artist’s capital importance in the development and evolution of AL Hadjri’s artwork in Qatar, but also across the Arab world. In 2013 Katara Cultural Village Foundation curated and exhibited the most recent work from Moudhi Hamad AL Hajri, in the exhibition “My Journeys Through Yemen”, this exhibition received record visitor numbers at Katara Galleries, and has since travelled to Yemen, where it was equally acclaimed.

The award was presented to the artist last week in Doha, Qatar. Katara Cultural Village Foundation would like join the judging panel in acclaiming and thanking Moudhi Hamad Al Hajri for her great success, achieved through her artwork and exhibitions, full of innovative photographic proposals and rich with conceptual depth.
